Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation in
Any Discipline: To be
eligible for the SBI PO recruitment, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree
in any discipline from a recognized university. This means that your
undergraduate degree can be in fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, or any
other discipline, as long as it is recognized by a recognized university.
Equivalent
Qualifications: If
you possess a qualification that is considered equivalent to a bachelor's
degree and is recognized by the Central Government, you are also eligible to
apply. Such equivalencies are typically determined by relevant government
authorities.
Final Year/Semester Candidates: If you are in the
final year or semester of your graduation at the time of applying for the SBI
PO exam, you can still apply provisionally. However, it is important to note that
if you are called for the interview phase, you must provide proof of having
successfully passed your graduation examination on or before December 31, 2023.
Integrated Dual
Degree (IDD): Candidates
who hold an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that their

Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, and other professional degrees are

Method of Selection:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary Examination
consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test
will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Selection criteria for Main
Examination:
Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the numbers of vacancies in each category will be short listed for Main Examination from the top of above merit list.
Phase-II: Main Examination: Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer. (i) Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 3 hours, and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

EMOLUMENTS:
Presently, the starting basic pay
is 41,960/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 36000-1490/7- 46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840
applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will be eligible
for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributed Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical
Facility, Lease rental facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites as
per rules in force from time to time.
