CLAY MINERAL:

1.KAOLINITe : Stable mineral- No swelling (China clay)

2. ILLITE MINERAL : Medium swelling and shrinkage

3. Montmorillinite: Large swelling shrinkage-black cotton soil

4. Holloyasite : Similar to kaolinite
